The very first Photo and Art Contest, in 2009, had a theme of puddles and rain, and most entries reflected water or weather in some way! 12 people entered a total of 18 entries, including 3 pieces of artwork. Because it was the first year, there was only one judged winner, gogojimmy’s “Blown Away” photo. We don’t have records of why this photo was chosen as the winner, but I suspect the clear composition and bright primary colors helped a lot! It just feels like a blustery, stormy day, doesn’t it?
