Registration FAQ

PUDDLE 2017 is completely sold out!

That means the only tickets available will be from secondhand sellers who are unable to attend. You can email us or keep an eye on the forum and Facebook group to watch for others selling their seats.

Registration

The Pullip and Dal Doll Lovers Events welcomes people of all skin colors, all religions, all cultural and ethnic backgrounds, all abilities and disabilities, all gender identities, and all sexual orientations.

Doll lovers of all ages are welcome to attend. If you are 13 or under, we suggest that an adult accompany you to the event, though they are not required to buy their own ticket and stay in the room. If you are 9 or under, we strongly suggest that an adult accompany you to the event and stay in the room with you. Very small children (3 and under) are allowed to attend without paying a fee. (We do discourage attendees from bringing small children because there are many tempting, fragile items to touch and it is hard to fully participate in PUDDLE with a small child. However, we know sometimes there is no other way for a parent to attend. Young children will always be able to sit with their parents but will not have room at a guest table for their own toys and activities.)

Payments must be made by the last date shown, or you will be bumped to the next registration tier. (If that’s after May 31, you won’t get a gift bag, even if you sent in your name already!)

Fees help cover the cost of the meeting room and other PUDDLE expenses. It would not be possible to reserve the full ballroom of the Holiday Inn Chicago-Elk Grove without advance registration fees!

Early Bird and Advance registration fees include one gift bag per participant. All Early Bird participants to register and pay before December 31 will receive a Premium Gift Bag, with goodies for you and your dolls in a reusable tote with a PUDDLE-exclusive design. All Advance registrants will receive Standard gift bags, which will contain fewer items.

Last-Minute and Door registration fees, if available, do not include gift bags.

Pre-registration payments can be made by PayPal or mailed check.  PayPal is preferred. Checks cannot be accepted for payment mailed after May 24, in case of mail delays. Instructions for payment will be emailed to you after completing the registration form.

No. PUDDLE is small enough that we fulfill registration individually on the morning of the event, without needing paper tickets.

We will have a list of all pre-registered attendees, their paid statuses, and what type of gift bag (if any) they are to receive. All you need to do is tell us your name! You will get an official nametag (marking your status as a paid attendee) and your gift bag if you registered during Early Bird or Advance registration. Check in begins Friday afternoon with badge pickup. Gift bags are only distributed on Saturday.

Unless all tickets sell out exceptionally early, there will be no wait list. However, you may be able to purchase tickets from someone who has extra or can’t attend.

Purchasing tickets from a third party is taken at your own risk. PUDDLE accepts no responsibility for any problems with secondhand ticket sales. However, if you are concerned that someone may be selling tickets they don’t have, please contact us so that we may investigate.

No. Starting in 2017, registration fees are not refundable and cannot be carried forward to the next year. Registration fees can be transferred to another person if PUDDLE staff are notified of the transfer by May 31 at the latest. Any fees transferred after the premium bag deadline of 12/31/16 will include a standard bag, not a premium bag.

In 2016, the registration fee could be carried forward to the 2017 PUDDLE. Canceled fees carried forward for one year only and only if attendees (1) canceled in advance of PUDDLE or (2) contacted PUDDLE staff within two weeks after the event to ask that the fee carry forward. 2016 registration fees carried forward to 2017 are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

Yes. Everyone who will be in the meeting room is expected to pay the fee and receive a nametag, for space and security reasons. There is a lot to do in the Chicago area, so people who are not interested in PUDDLE may want to find other activities.

If you are 13 or under, we suggest that an adult accompany you to the event, though they are not required to buy their own ticket and stay in the room. If you are 9 or under, we strongly suggest that an adult accompany you to the event and stay in the room with you.

Only very small children are allowed to attend without paying a fee. (We do discourage attendees from bringing small children because there are many tempting items to touch and it is hard to fully participate in PUDDLE with a small child. However, we know sometimes there is no other way for a parent to attend. Young children will always be able to sit with their parents but will not have room at a guest table for their own toys and activities.)
