A tentative list of scheduled events for PUDDLE 2017.
2017 Schedule (subject to change)
Friday Afternoon & Evening
Join us for pre-PUDDLE fun!
1:30-5:30 pm · Informal Meet & Greet
Bring a doll to the hotel lobby to show you’re a part of PUDDLE, start a conversation with other incoming guests, do some buy-sell-trade. You can also sign in and receive your name badge; all you will have to do on Saturday morning is pick up your gift bag.
5:30 pm · Group Dinner at Mitsuwa Marketplace
Meet in the hotel foyer at 5:15 or so to carpool or take the hotel shuttle to Mitsuwa, or meet up at the marketplace food court – take a doll and watch for others carrying them. We’ll try to grab one or two of the big tables in the back room.
7:30 -11:00 pm · Tea Party and Informal BST
Find a new favorite drink, some new friends, and maybe even some new-to-you items. Bring your items to sell and trade. You can also sign in and receive your name badge; all you will have to do on Saturday morning is pick up your gift bag. If you would like to volunteer to run an event during the Friday night gathering, please contact us.
Open from 10 am-6 pm: Vendors, Make It Take It Crafts, Information and Customization Q&A Tables
8:00 am · Vendor and Room Setup Begins
9:00 am · Sign-in, Setup, and Socializing
Sign in and pick up your name badge and gift bag, then claim a spot at a round table, display your dolls, browse vendors (some may still be setting up), complete the icebreaker, and meet new people.
10:00 am · Vendors officially open
Vendor booths are officially open for business.
10:45 am · Opening words

11:00 am · Dress Like Your Doll Costume Parade
Whether in jeans and a t-shirt or a full ballgown, each participant (and each doll) gets a turn in the spotlight. Pick up an entry slip at the Information and Raffle table. A judge will choose winners to receive prizes. Any kind of doll (Blythe, BJD, etc.) is welcome in this event.
11:30 am · Group Photo
Group photo of people. You do not have to appear in the people photo, but please stick around for the next event!
12:00 noon ·Door Prizes
Every pre-paid participant gets to choose a door prize! Your number will be on a slip in your bag.
12:30 pm · Lunch Break!
We recommend you don’t go far; perhaps grab some fast food across the street and come back to eat with others. Local food options are listed on our Location page. In 2017 there will also be the option to order and pay for a box lunch when you register.
1:30 pm · Setup for Custom Contests
Display your full customs, modified dolls, mini dolls, and original outfits. Entry forms are available at the Information and Raffle table all day. You can set your doll on the contest table at any point during the day, but at this time organizers will be organizing the entries into categories. Best in Theme entries should go on the Best in Theme table; they can be moved to the custom contest tables after the Best in Theme winner is announced.
2:00 pm · 10th PUDDLE Celebration Cake!
We will share a special 10th PUDDLE Celebration Cake, and the Best in Theme winner will be announced.
2:30 pm · Silent Auctions Close and Winners announced
Get in your last bids for the Silent Auction dolls. Once the winners of the silent auction items are announced, you’ll know how much you have left to spend with the vendors.
2:30 pm · Custom Doll Contest Entries Close
All contest entries must be on display before judging. You can also vote for your favorites. Pick up a voting slip at the Information and Raffle table. (Don’t start voting before 2:30 pm!)
2:30 pm-4:00 pm · Judging and Voting
The judges will review the contest entries, and everyone can vote for fan favorites.
3:30 pm · Last call for raffle tickets
Raffle buckets will close at 3:30 pm sharp to draw winners for all regular raffle items and prepare for prize distribution. Raffle tickets will be available throughout the day at the Information and Raffle table.
4:30 pm · Contest and Raffle Winners Announced
Find out who won the contests and raffles, and watch the live drawing for the raffle dolls.
5:30 pm · Vendors officially close
Vendor booths close. (Some booths may close earlier.)
5:30 pm · Last chance socializing and clean-up
Get your new friends’ contact info to stay in touch, then help us clean up the room.
6:00 pm · Official close of PUDDLE
The event is officially over, but that doesn’t mean you have to go home just yet!
6:30ish · Group dinner in Shelby Campbell’s Restaurant
Join us in the special event room of Shelby Campbell’s Almost Famous Restaurant (located across from the hotel front desk) and bring a doll or two. If the special event room is full, grab some new friends and find a table or booth in the restaurant. People will be wandering in at different times.
8:30ish-? · Pajama Party & BST
Relax and chat in the hotel lobby. Have a cup of tea, color, and make any last-minute trades or purchases. We may also make plans for breakfast.
