CONTESTS

Participate in one or all of the contests!

For each event contest, there will be an unbiased judge who will chose the Grand Prize Winner and any additional winners. There will also be a fan favorite vote for each contest. A number of prizes will be awarded at each contest.

2011 Customization Contest

There are four categories: (1) customized full-sized dolls (must have new/altered chips, wig, faceup, and clothing); (2) modified full-sized dolls (anything less than as described in number 1); (3) customized and modified minis; (4) any doll, stock or customized, in an original outfit completely made by the contestant. There will be at least one judged winner and one fan favorite from each category.

The customization contests are coordinated by TrueFan.

The purpose of this contest is to encourage collectors to be creative and have fun with their dolls.

Entry rules and details:

Each custom must be the original work of the person submitting it (with credit given to contributors to the work).
Each person can enter up to four dolls total.
Each entry must be accompanied by an entry form containing the name of the customizer or customizers, the name of the person at PUDDLE who is responsible for the entry if not the customizer, and a complete and detailed list of all changes (including sanding, carving, painting, rechipping, rewigging, who made the clothing and accessories, etc.). More than one person can help customize an entry, but each person must be credited on the entry form. The customizer can bring together elements from others (clothing, companions, etc.) as long as the originators are credited.
Pullips, Dals, Namus, Taeyangs, Byuls, mini Pullips and Dals, and Angel Pullips and Dals may be entered.
Although not required, the custom doll can reflect the theme of PUDDLE (CRANES or other water-related themes).
Each doll must be present at PUDDLE, even if the customizer is not. If you are not coming to PUDDLE but want to enter the contest you can (1) sell or give the doll to someone who is coming; (2) ask someone who is coming to bring the doll and return the doll to you after the contest; or (3) donate the doll to PUDDLE to be used as a raffle or contest prize.
Entries can be sold at PUDDLE after the contest has been judged if desired.

Entries will be judged on the quality, creativity, and style of the customization, the customization skill of the customizer and the overall artistry of the custom. PUDDLE attendees will also have the opportunity to select their favorite through a vote. The contests will be judged by Requiem, and her decisions will be final.

To enter, customize your entry and get your doll to PUDDLE on June 11, 2011, by bringing the doll yourself, finding a friend to bring it, or sending it to TrueFan as a donation to PUDDLE. (Please note that this is a fan-run event and there will be no paid security.)

Please note, an original outfit can only be entered in either the dress-like-your-doll contest or in the original outfit contest, not both.

Pictures of the entries will be posted on www.puddlestyle.com. By entering you give your permission for pictures of your doll to be posted on the website and submitted to magazines for possible publication.

2011 Photo and Art Contest

There are three categories: (1) online photos or artwork (do not have to attend PUDDLE to enter); (2) photos at the event; (3) artwork at the event. Anyone coming to PUDDLE can submit two entries into the online event and up to two different entries in each of the two event categories. There will be at least one judged winner and one fan favorite from each category.

The photo and art contests are coordinated by TrueFan. GoGoJimmy will judge the online contest.

The purpose of this contest is to encourage collectors to be creative and have fun with their dolls.

Entry rules and details:

All entries must be the original work of the person submitting them.
Each person can enter up to two online entries, two original photographs, and two original pieces of art.
The subject of the photograph or artwork must be related to Pullip, Dal, Namu, Taeyang, Byul, mini Pullip/Dal, or Angel Pullip/Dal.
You do not have to be present at PUDDLE to enter the online contest.
The work in some way, obvious or subtle, should reflect the theme of PUDDLE (CRANES).
Online entries will be posted at www.puddlestyle.com and reviewed online. Event entries will be displayed at PUDDLE. Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, and overall artistry by a judge. There will also be fan favorites in each category. By entering you give your permission for photos of your work to be posted on the website and submitted to magazines for possible publication.
To be part of the online contest, images of the entries must be submitted to TrueFan (jane_easterly@hotmail.com, or on the pullipstyle.com forum) by April 1, 2011.
Entries can be sold at PUDDLE after the contest has been judged if desired.

To enter, create your artwork or take your photograph, then submit its image to TrueFan for the online contest or bring it to PUDDLE for the event contests. (For entries that are brought to PUDDLE, please note that this is a fan-run event and there will be no paid security.)

Each entry must be accompanied by the real name and board name of the artist or photographer. Please include a note about the media for art; if the photo has been manipulated, also include a note about that.

2011 Dress Like Your Doll

Dress like your doll, in either a doll stock outfit or an outfit of your own design. Keely will be the judge and will provide the prizes. There will be at least one judged winner and one fan favorite.

The dress like your doll contest is coordinated by babelglyph and TrueFan.

The purpose of this contest is to encourage collectors to be creative and have fun with their dolls.

To enter, come to PUDDLE on June 11, 2011. Bring your Pullip, Dal, Namu, Taeyang, Byul, mini Pullip/Dal, or Angel Pullip/Dal and matching outfits for the two of you. There will be a parade of contests at PUDDLE. Be prepared to describe your costumes. By entering you give your permission for photos of you and your doll to be posted on the website and submitted to magazines for possible publication.

Please note, an original outfit can only be entered in either the dress-like-your-doll contest or in the original outfit contest, not both.
